Grant Proposal Review & Critique Services
If you prepared the grant proposal yourself, we can help your organization improve its chances of winning with this service.
We will review and edit any proposal prepared by your organization for clarity, grammar, completeness, and match with the priorities of the grantmaker before you submit your application. And, we will review any proposal that did not receive funding to determine its strengths and weaknesses to help you prepare an effective proposal to submit in the future.
By allowing us to review and analyze your proposal, we make sure that all the elements of the document are present and clearly identified. We then prepare a verbal and/or written critique that provides a section-by-section, paragraph-by-paragraph description of areas that need improvement. If you choose, we can edit the document or you can use the critique to do so yourself.
Because we are a third-party reviewer, we will see your proposal as a grantmaker or peer reviewer will. The critiques we prepare are very thorough and provide techniques and strategies to consider when creating proposals in the future.
Examples of the types of proposals that benefitted from our grant proposal review and critique service include the following:
∙ Every type of proposal to foundations and corporations. ∙ US Department of Education, 21st Century Community Learning Center - for several school districts. ∙ US Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) - several direct-service programs for hospitals and healthcare associations. ∙ US Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Bureau of Health Professions - several for a number of rural and urban hospitals as well as a skilled nursing facility. ∙ US Department of Health and Human Services, National Institute of Health (NIH) - for research at a hospital. ∙ US Department of Health and Human Services, National Science Foundation (NSF) - several for major universities. ∙ US Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OPJJDP) - several direct-service programs for human services, county (municipal), and mental health organizations. |
