Diane Gedeon-Martin is a nationally recognized and respected grants consultant, instructor, and lecturer in the area of grants and grantseeking for nonprofit organizations.  Her dedication to the field is evident in the way she speaks about the grantseeking process; her enthusiasm is contagious!  The materials she develops for workshops, conference sessions, and online webinars/audioconferences blend the best of a strong academic program with a practical approach to grantseeking to provide an exceptional learning opportunity for all. 

 

In 2001, she became an adjunct faculty member of The Fund Raising School at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University where she not only teaches Preparing Successful Grant Proposals but co-developed the curriculum for the course.  Before joining the faculty at Indiana University, she taught grantseeking for four years for a similar program conducted by Wayne State University in Detroit.  Diane is also on faculty at the following institutions:

 Association of Fundraising Professionals' (AFP) Essentials of Fundraising Program, Connecticut Chapter - since 2008.

 The Center for Nonprofit Success - since 2008.

Diane received the title of Master Trainer through the Faculty Training Academy conducted at the 47th AFP International Conference in Baltimore.  The Faculty Training Academy prepares instructors to take leadership positions in AFP's professional education programs and to serve as peer mentors for other AFP course instructors.

 

Because of her expertise in the field, she is a frequent guest speaker at conferences sponsored by local, state, national, and international associations.   Please see the Sample Workshop/Conference Host List for more information.  The roster includes six consecutive years speaking at the annual AFP International Conference and a presenter for their Audioconference Series.

She is an active member of AFP and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Chapter where she is also the Chair of the Education committee and former Chair of the Program committee.  She is also the former Co-Chair of the AFP Greater Detroit Chapter’s Grantseekers Network and former Chair of their Education committee.  Her other affiliations include memberships in the Association for Professional Researchers for Advancement and as a charter member of the American Association of Grant Professionals.
